Default A quick bilstein question

Can I do just the rear for now? I'm kind of broke with home improvments. I found a good deal for a couple rear Bilstein HD's. Any harm in puting them on and doing the fronts a bit later?

From the information provided, I would say it's okay, provided that:

1. They are new, not used.
2. If they are off the shelf HD's that will be used with stock springs.

Are you wanting to lower your car in the future? If so, do not do it now due to the fact that it will not only look weird lowered in the back, but the shocks will have to be reset for a lowering spring.

Shocks will not change ride heigth, and when you get the shocks revalved its only the fronts.

I am not lowering the car. I have SLP long tubes and SFC's. Not alot of room left under there. Shocks are new and stock springs will be used. Does that make a difference? I just want a better ride.

They can change height (Koni's front perch that moves for instance, though Bilstein's don't have that).

And while I generally only revalve the fronts, the rears are NOT 4th gen HD's either.

Thanks Sam, I was just about to post a link to your site concerning that lowering issue with shocks only. Good to see ya looged on.

Send Sam a PM and tell him the situation. He will probably be happy to give his opinion.
