However that switch is getting removed soon and the off switch disabled as I am letting my little brother take it to his prom.

Glad my car didn't come with that... My ASR = my right foot. Too many things on car's these days that take away from driver skill...
I barely tolerate ABS, if I want to lock the tires, I should damn well be able to! I've locked tires plenty of times in my 88 and still manage to keep it under control.
