Default 3ch, 4ch WTF is this?

ok, i'm going to buy some new moser axles for my 10bolt, i'm building it up *puts on flamesuit*, but on summit they have axles for a 3channel rear and a 4 channel rear, my questions are, what exactly do these mean, and how can i tell what i have, and what does that mean? lol thanks.

If you have traction control, you have 4 channel and the reluctor rings are on the axles. If you don't, then it is 3 channel and the ring is on the carrier.

Pretty much you'll have axles. The ring gear will strip, the pinion will bend,
but you will still have axles

Three channel means one wheel speed sensor monitors both rear wheels. Four channel has a wheel speed sensor at each wheel. All traction control cars are 4 channel.

I believe most if not all LT1 cars are 3 channel. But don't hold me to it.

It's better to get a 12 bolt then build up a 10 bolt. A built up 10 bolt can still only hold so much, but a 12 bolt is about $2000 and axles for a 10 bolt are about $250.
