Uh, you may need to push the rear sidways one way or the other to get the bolts to line up - when you removed the stock PR the rear end probably shifted since the PR IS the bar that locates the rear end side to side under the car.

Yes correct, I get this call quite a bit and a lot of times many think the panhard bar is to short. Since the panhard bar locates and centers the rear end under the vehicle it does hold pressure. When it is unbolted the rear will shift making the installation more difficult. While laying under the vehicle have a buddy press on the tire to move the rear end over so the holes line up. Just make sure he doesn't push to hard and push it off the jack stands!

Hope that helps!

Stick the jack under the rear diff. and raise it a lil. Worked for me.

I just bought the "on car adjustable" pan hard bar from UMI, can I just adjust it out enough to bolt up and then turn it and bring the cars rear end back to center? Is it that easy?

Yup, actually you could do it that way if you don't have someone to help you as Ryan stated above. Just make sure the car is not on the ground and is supported by the frame and not the rear before doing either method

Just had to put my stock one back on - connected the passenger side, had someone move the rear back towards center by prying a little with a 2X4 under the left rear tire.

A little patience with a jack and some fancy footwork should do the trick.

lol, I just installed mine last weekend and I was thinking to myself "I feel sorry for the poor bastard that buys the non-adjustable" I had a god ol time putting mine on, considering somebody tightened the screw on mine to 1million psi, I had to double wrench it to get the stupid thing loose!

okay... just making sure... so on an adjustable i can bolt it right up, without having a buddy pushing on of the tires towards the center correct? will this still significantly center the rearend?
