Question Help!!!!

I need some help guys. I am fixing to change the brakes out and also install some re-location brackets and lower control arms. The first questio I have is where is a good spot under the car to set the jack stands. I have never had to use them under the car usually it was jacks for a lil bit or blocks under the wheels. Now the reason why I am using jack stands is I want to be able to leave the car up in there so I can repolish my wheels an that might take some time. My next question is can I change out the control arms on the rear with up on the jack stands or how would I need to go bout changing those out. Also sorry if this is in the wrong forum but this is the closest one I could think of for wut I am doin.

well i recently swapped out a rear axle in my friends car, and to do what your describing you want the rear up in the air a little. i jacked up the car by the rear torque arm bolts. i used two jack stands on either side. there is a perfect spot for them so they grip the bottom of the car, if you follow the line from where the lca connects to the body towards the front of the car, it kind of goes diagnal and get thin at one point, turn your jackstands so the u-shape fits right around this thin part. thats the best place to hold the *** end of the car up imo. im reciting this spot off of memory (im in school) ill go home later and double check that my instructions are accurate. dont forget to chock the front wheels, and throwing something big under the car never hurts for saftey (i just throw a full size rim and tire underneath, incase the car decides to slide foreward, the rim laying on the ground cant tip over like a jack stand) iv never changed lca's but i have changes axles and it seems rather simple, just two bolts, one on each end. 21mm i think

Sorry for the confusion if you didnt understand that from my first post. Thanks for the info as well I will remember that an be sure to look for that.
