Default My car has a mind of its own!!

So i just swaped from my blizzack snow tires to my regular 275 goodyears, and now the steering sucks major. When im drivin on the highway the car jerks around all over the damn place whenever it hits a bump, at first i thought i didn't tighten down one of the wheels, so i torqued them down to exactly 100 ft/lbs, and still the same damn thing. Could it be something messed up with the steering?

yes your tie rods could be bad.going back to a wider tire will usually present all kinds of problems that you didnt notice before

Would it be the end links, a bushing, the actual rod, or what specifically that needs to be replaced. I am having the same problem.

Well it could be a mixture of all, but tire rods and ball joints will make major havoc on the ailinment

I just took my snow tires off as well. The car went from "wet noodle" to "very responsive". The bad side of that is that it does hunt on the roads, but the handling is much improved over the soft squishy snow tires. I suspect that there is nothing wrong with your car, it's just going to take a while to get used to having real tires on it again.
