Wolfe roll bars
Im going tro purchase a wolfe 6 point bar and had a question about it. I want the option of the over the seat bar to mount to the flat part instead of cutting through the plastic bu the rear speakers. Does anyone have this cage? What option for the rear bar did you get? It says if you go with the over the seat option you have to drop the fuel tank, is this true? Is it worth it or should I just order it standard? Heres the link to the cage:http://www.wolferacecraft.com/detail.aspx?ID=234 thanks for the help in advance.

You will have to drop the tank either way. With the bolt in version you will have to drop the tank in order to thread the nuts and bolts. With the weld in version you will need to drop the tank for obvious reasons.

I also agree, but does the cage only bolt to the body in the back? If so it wont hold up to well in a crash with it just in sheet metal. I would rather have the roll cage welded to the actual frame of the car where it will be secure, wont move and will add structural integrity to the chassis.

I have the 'behind the seat' version of the rear bars and did drop the tank to bolt it in. But I was installing a Racetronix pump at the same time so it wasn't a wasted effort.
Whether you get the version that attaches to flat area behind seat or version that goes thru speakers to inner fender panel, bolt-in or weld in, those (2) points of the cage are only attached to sheet metal - not frame of car as there is no frame available in that area.
