Does anybody know if there is actually a difference between the two calipers?

I know that some folks actually swapped their rear 98-02 f-body rear calipers to the Z06 rear calipers, and I believe I read that basically the rear calipers are basically the same, save for the Z06 rears being powdercoated...

Is there a difference between the calipers?
Are the Z06 rear calipers actually better than our 4th-gen calipers?

I'm talking about calipers only, not changing the rotors.

The caliper will fit on your car. I have them on my car with Baur Rotors. The Z06 calipers hold more fluid and give you better braking. The Z06 rotors will not fit on your car. The off set is way different. I used steel braded lines also. I am very happy with the upgrade. I also went with Hawk HP pads. I only wish I had went with Hawk Hp+ pads. They stop alot better but squeek alot more. I have them on my Z06. Very nice pad if you don't mined the squeek. Hope this helps.
