Budget Suspension Upgrade with Pics
I took a half day off work yesterday and went down to a local techincal college where a friend of mine teaches auto mechanics to do my spring, shock, and PHR install on my 00 WS6.
Here's what I installed:
Used Eibach Pro kit $150 shipped
Used Spohn adjustable PHR with spherical ends $85 shipped
New Tokico Shocks off Ebay ~$260 shipped
Install FREE
Total Cost $495
Here is a link to some low quality pics I took with my treo:

We got started about 1 and finished around 6:30. We took our time and had some trouble with one of the struts. The Retaining nut on the top of one of the struts was rusted really bad and had to be cut off.
The rear springs and shocks were a breeze to install. The PHR went on very easily as well. By far the biggest pain of the job was dealing with the strut assembly. Getting it in and out, compressing the springs... not so much fun but very doable.
Initial impressions:
I love the look!
The ride is definitely harsher and is going to take some getting used to.
I bottomed out on a speed bump at Kroger right off the bat. I think I can mitigate that in the future with a better approach.
Handling seems greatly improved. I feel like I can go through interchanges easily doing 10 MPH faster than before.
I can't wait to try another autox event with the new setup. I look forward to getting some better sway bars.
I am going to take the car in for an alignement today, although I still don't see how you can adjust anything but the toe on that car

btw, the shocks must need a few miles to break in because they ride great now.
