do i have to do anything before putting springs on? its a 98 ss with rear spohn upper and lower control arms, stock shocks, i have a brand new set of eibachs pro kit, i hear that you have to change the shocks and struts before you install these. what is your opinion?

You can get by without changing them but it's highly recommended. You'll also need an adjustable panhard bar to center the rearend and some relocation brackets for the LCAs.
