Dot 5 Fluid With Abs
Starting to run the car on road courses and the locals suggest going to a dot 5 fluid to keep it from boiling. The shop I am using states that they are willing but they have read somewhere that the DOT 5 with Silicone fouls up the ABS system with the result a solenoid valve or something with a price tag of around 1200 being the main victim.
Anybody have any experience with high temp brake fluid, WITH THE ABS system still in service on 2002 Camaros?

DO NOT use DOT 5. It will give you a spongy pedal (it can be compressed). Use good quality DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 (not 5, but 5.1). Many use Valvoline Synpower (and the specs on it are good), or ATE Superblue (it's a bit better and it's what I use) or you can go "all out" and get Castrol (at $69 a liter or so).
When you are just starting out, you'll have lots to worry about before you start boiling fluid. However, it's a good idea to change it to something decent (Synpower, ATE, Motul, etc) before you go and get the old stuff out of there. I would not use DOT 5 though.

Like trackbird said, you don't want DOT5.
