I've heard different things but from what I've heard and seen in pictures the GT+ kit will fit

Fit without any problems for me...
Problem is - that is NOT the Baer GT+ kit that he is talking about. The GT+ kit uses the C5 style calipers and conversion brackets and look like these:

That is either the Track kit or Track+ Kit >>>>>>

'TRACK

<-----FRONT SYSTEM (1-piece 13” dia./PBR 2-piston PGC) Baer’s most popular system for street and light-track applications, including domestic muscle cars and sport compacts. Utilizes 13” rotors designed to fill out 17” wheel packages.'

This is the GT or GT+ Kit >>>>>>>

'GT-PLUS

(2-piece 12.75-14" dia./PBR 2-piston PDC) Large PBR pin-drive caliper provides increased pad volume and performance necessary for larger, heavier vehicles. Requires larger wheels (17" minimum).'

The GT or GT+ is a step up from the Track kit.

I can tell you for certain from first-hand experience, that the GT+ calipers will NOT fit the TTII 17" wheels without first grinding some of the fins down on the backside of the caliper

I was told that they would fit no problem when I ordered mine - WRONG. Then when I called back to bitch, the next guy told me that the first guy should have never made a statement that they would fit or not - in other words - tough **** buddy

I mounted the calipers, loosely fit the wheel and everything looked correct - problem is, I didn't have the lugs on and tightened. After I did that, the wheel was locked up solid on the calipers and would not turn.

If you look directly behind the spokes on the TTII's, you'll see that the ID of the wheel bulges in toward the center for a short distance, then opens up to a bigger ID the rest of the way back thru the width. The fins on the backside of the calipers hit the bulged out area of the wheel ID. I ended up having to grind back the fins flush to the caliper body about 1.5" on a $1500 brake kit to get them to work. I now have about 1/8" clearance between caliper and wheel.

Some other items you will need to do:

Cut and grind sections off your stock spindles to install the caliper brackets (directly from the instructions).

After installing the Eradispeed 2-pc front rotors I found that the inner surface of the rotors were hitting the weld around the front nose of the lower control arm. No mention to look for this in the instructions. Had to take it all back off and grind the weld down smooth and flush all around the nose of the lower control arms. Now I have about 1/8" clearance in this area.

If you had 18" TTII's - the caliper grinding would not be necessary.

Good luck...

-Jay-

Do you have any pictures of the wheels and brakes further away?

So is the GT+ kit pretty much just the C5 brake conversion with Baer stamped on the caliper

Here ya go:

As far as the calipers and conversion brackets go - yes. You'll notice in this pic that the plating had not worn completely off in the firepath. I had just installed the brakes the day before.
