if you want good handleing in turns and good launches, stock springs should be fine, just depends on what shocks/rollbars you go with...

i believe sam runs stock springs with koni's and roadraces...

From what Ive read and heard, and at least in karting... lowering takes away traction, but the benefit is lowering the center of gravity a little.

Thinking about getting new shocks over the horrible stock ones, but wanna keep the oem height, would the Bilstein HD's do the work? (it is not a daily driver, no drag racing whatsoever), good enough?

I'd say that description fits HD's pretty well...... I won't say it's a solid recommendation from me because I won't do that without speaking to a person to find out other details. But from what I read here (which is only 3 lines of text), it seems to me that HD's would suit you pretty well.

Sam,

I need to call you up someday to talk about suspension... right now I gotta get a few things such as a new clutch and etc... but basically Im having trouble deciding if I even can drop the car due to the fact that it bottoms out when getting out of my garage, otherwise I would like to lower the front just a bit and get a good daily driven and road-track rather than drag suspension setup. But like I said Ill call you someday, so if you see a European number that will probally be me

It measures to be 3/4" lower than stock front and back.

Sam, I don't have the Solo 2 rulebook handy. When people do the lower front perch Koni/remove rear isolator mod with stock springs and rear swaybar, are they still stock class legal?? Or is that considered altered pickup points?
