Default Crooked rear sway bar?

Can the rear sway bar be installed “crooked”?
I noticed on the new rear brackets that there are enlongated holes where the U bolt comes through.
I tightened everything while the car was on wooden blocks in my not so level stone driveway. It looked even from under the car, but that was while it was jacked up and everything.
Could the bar be out of “alignment”?

Default

Crooked, probably not. Upside down, yes. As long as the end links are tightened down and the bushings are in the right spot on the axle tube, it should be ok.
