If you don't have a lot to spend, then look at the Bilstein HD. Sponsors or eBay are great places.

Are you lowered?

Do you plan to lower?

What are your goals with the car?

Are you looking for better handling or is straight line performance your only concern?

take the money and use it for HOOKED ON PHONIXS with spelling words the way you do.

lol just kidding man.

I have KONI SA's the 4x4's but they were expensive.

Get BILSTEIN REVALVED HD's from Strano.

Those are good too!

Like was mentioned earlier..... "bang for the buck" can mean a lot of different stuff. Scion's are good bang for the buck, if you are looking for a solid car that will last and get good mileage. A Corvette Z06 is good bang for the buck because you get supercar performance at under $70k. That price isn't cheap, but you get great bang for those bucks.

Have to define the "bang" you want. Nobody wants to overspend, so we all look for the best value. But $800 could offer you more value than $350......

Well if the OP doesn't chime in I'd appreciate a recommendation for:

- 2000 Z28 Convertible
- Stock springs, staying that way
- Factory deCarbons (50k on them)
- 275 rubber on 17" Zo6 knock offs (heavy)

Really I'm looking for a quality OEM replacement shock that will perform at or above the factory shocks and struts as a uniform characteristic set.

- Same or better ride quality vs. handling compromise
- Good durability (50k or so)
- Reasonable cost (maybe $500 tops)

The car is absolutely a daily driver, and I have no complaints about the current handling, ride quality, or launch traction/hop behaviors, but I realize the stockers are getting to the end and I wouldn't mind an upgrade or at least making an intelligent decision.

I figure the SLP Bils are probably a pretty safe bet but I'd like to know, especially since it's a vert. In all honesty I'd buy a set of take-off factorys if I knew I could get the right ones.

Thanks.

SLP Bilsteins are valved for the SLP springs. If you're running stock ride height with stock springs, you might be happy with a set of Bilstein HD's.
