I have a 99 SS with Koni SA and Eibach prokit. Before I got the Konis from Sam Strano, I had cheapo Monroes with Eiback sportline springs. While doing the swap I found that the strut mounts (rubber boots at the top of the strut/spring assembly) was bad. The middle part is blown out of it, so basicaly there is nothing but a piece of rubber on the top of the strut and the rest of it is bolted to the strut tower. No wonder the car handled like ****... I bought new strut mounts from Advanced Auto and done the spring/strut/shock swap. All was cool... Car drove like a totally different car.
Then yesterday I was driving home. I hit a sizeble pothole, It kinda felt like the front passenger side was too soft. So when I got home I popped the tire to make sure that I adjusted the strut correctly. I look under there and observe the "new" strut mount blown.

No wonder it was soft as **** on that side.
Can anyone offer advice on why this is happening?

Im tired of dicking with it and want to get it right. Thanks for the help
