Ain't that the truth! Good point!

I forgot about how unreliable the butt meter is.

That's because engineers are smarter than everyone else.

I think you nailed it: Sam is a closet engineer.

I was completely convinced that STB's were pointless on our cars until a friend gave me one (from a totalled car) and told me to just try it. I thought I'd be removing it 60 minutes after install but I could definitely FEEL a difference in hard cornering so it stays on my car.

I get the whole point of feeling better better doesn't necessarily = faster lap times
I'm going to get the Koni 4/3 combo with BMR springs and sway bars and see where i'm at after that before getting SFC's

Smart to the do the shocks and such first. And that's what I'm always telling folks. I don't tell them to NOT do SFC's. I tell them not to do them as the first thing!!!!

FWIW, you might want to do some research on the spring/bar package to go with the shocks.....

It depends on what handling means to you - is it feel, or a bunch of numbers?

IMO SFC help make the car 'feel' better and in turn boosts your confidence level which can possibly make you a better driver ie lower track times.

oh and sorry about bringing a month old thread back to life

With the exception of the wallet and not needing extra long jacking areas, it's not going to matter at this point. Just look into an appropriate set of shocks for what you're going to do with the vehicle. It pays to listen more to the AXer's and RRer's, than placebo lemmings.

I was just being silly. I know it doesn't matter one way or the other that I installed SFCs, or that I installed SFCs before shocks.
