Default Edelbrock strut tower brace

Hi everyone, just one question on the Edelbrock Strut Brace. I just installed mine yesterday and couldn't get the firewall bracket and hardware mounted. I know that it wouldn't make much difference but how would you get it on without taking the intake manifold off. Later, Kevin.

What do the instructions say? Does Edelbrock want you to take the intake off for installation? If thats the case, then its good to know.

Anything could be possible, however I find it ridiculous to have to remove the intake manifold to install. I also noticed you have a 2000 SS. Is the hood intake the possible culprit?

The reason I ask is several STB's from several other manufacturers won't fit under the SS hoods and I didn't see anything on their website saying it couldn't (at least for your make of SS).

You NEVER have to remove the intake to put on a STB.....it is the exact opposite.
