Default Any tips on installing rotors and pads?

Going to swap out the better half's rotors and pads all the way around this weekend and paint up the calipers. Any tips or anything that I should be worried about?

Use lots of brake cleaner spray to get oil off the rotor, return/push/squeeze pads to open position slowly to avoid brake fluid squirting out other end. Put em back on like you took em off. Dont get caliper paint on the car. Brake them in correctly

Good advice!

Yeah, when you force the piston back into the caliper do it slowly and watch out that the resevior does not over flow. The fluid is very caustic.

Hey, while you have the paint can out, paint the center of the rotors. Don't worry too much about overspray onto the friction surface. "Undertape" the rotors and fire away, the first time you step on the brakes it will reduce the painted portion on the rotor to a perfect circle. (The small amount of paint will not harm the pads.)

Don't forget to use high temp paint!

Have fun
