Default Need new shocks.. suggestions? 2001 SS

alright i have a 2001 Camaro ss, as far as suspension mods go the car has an eibach lowering kit 1.3" front 1.5" rear. any suggestions or preferances on shocks i should go with?

i can bottom out my rear shocks just by putting weight on it. they are completely shot.

Do you have the stock Decarbons on there right now? If so, I'd call Sam Strano and ask him for his advice over which shocks best suite your needs/wants.

Sam is definetly the man to talk too. At a minimum I would go with revalved Bilsteins.

Those shocks in the link above were NOT designed for a lowered car, but rather for a stock-height F-body. So they won't be the best shocks to use, although they will certainly be an improvement over your current shocks. If you have the money, either get those Bilsteins revalved, or go with a set of Konis, or a combination of Konis/Bilstein revalves. Good luck.

They will wear out faster. Sam charges $500 for a set of revalves which is a very fair price considering Bilstein charges in the area of $60 to revalve a shock. You could have them revalved yourself if you had knowledge about the settings you need. Koni's will cost a couple of hundred more, worth it if you have the need.
