Default BMR lower Springs & Bilstein HDs

I just put new Bilstein HDs on my car. After putting on new 18 x 9 wheels and 275/40/18 I am considering lowering by 1". Will the Bilsteins work or did I screw up and now need to replace the shocks as well if I do lower it? I know hind sight is always 2020. I seriously need some honest feedback.

I have exactly that set up on my car......HATE IT! The ride is ok cruising on the highway, but on uneven or bumpy side roads it beats the hell out of ya! It sounds like the friggin' car is gonna come apart! I made the mistake of not researching first, there's a ton of posts on here that will tell you not to use HD's w/ lowering springs. The other thing I don't like is the rear is lower than the front. Looks like ***. Oh well, live and learn. Expensive mistake though.
