Default What happens when all your fluid bleeds out?

A buddy of mine left his brake lines open and has apparently bled all his fluid out of his system. I told him it wasn't good to do that and he said he had never heard of such a thing. I didn't have any specifics to back myself up and was also wondering what exactly can happen if you leave your lines open and all the fluid comes out? He has a 97 camaro if that makes a difference.

Thanks
Joshua

Well... you cant stop, lol.

you just have to bleed the system again, this will take longer than a normal bleed job and could be helped quite a bit by using a vaccum pump. The ABS system may be a pain if it was drained as well..

Basically, just fill the resivior, bleed, and keep filling untill there is no more air in the lines.

this is what you have to do when you install a new brake system anyways.

Is it that easy? I thought you had to take it to a mechanic to get them to do something to the master? I could be wrong though.
