Default control arm relocation and BMR X-treme adjustable control arms

I recently had the control arm relocation brackets welded onto my car. I noticed that I was dog legging on the way home so I got underneath the car and the relocation brackets were welded at different angles. We had modified the relocation brackets a bit thinking it was necessary since we were putting it on a 9-inch rearend but it kinda screwed me I guess. I ordered the BMR X-treme adjustable control arms to try and fix the problem but the adjustment I had to make was pretty significant. How many threads on the adjustable control arms can be showing and still be safe (as far as having enough thread still in the control arm)? I would just cut it off and do it over but I don't think I can get to some of the welds to cut. What do you guys think? ( i will try and get some pics of the control arm in question soon). thanks, -andy
