Default heater hose mod

I'm just checkin in here to get an idea on this setup for my rear springs. I have ordered Koni SA's from Strano and they should be in this week sometime and I would like to get my stockers ready to go back in (currently G2...too low). So far from my searches it seems like 5/8" Diameter heater hose and force over the top of the coil. I read I'd need about 18" i'm guessing 9" for each side. Anybody who has done this mod and has any input or advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Just slide the hose over the top of the coil as far as it will go....a little silicone lube will help.

fixed my poor unit of measure mistake... I went out and measured the circumfrence of the spring so I could buy the heater hose and its 18” per spring, to wrap all the way around the top coil.

It will lower the rear of the car about 1/2"-1". Remove the isolators and put the hose on the springs to keep from having metal-metal contact.

It gets ride of the huge rubber stop that sits above the sping and levels the rear off about 1/2 inch or so. Its a simple mod and levels the car out a bit on a stock or near stock suspension.

So this will LOWER the rear end? I have the prokit springs with stock shocks and a big fat speaker box in the trunk. My rear end sits about a half inch lower than the front. If I were to thread my rear coils with heater hose, won't that raise the suspension???

yes if you leave the rubber isolaters on with the hose!!!!! but the hose is used in place of the rubber isolater & since the hose is thinner the rear sits lower!
