Got my shocks set now. Koni's are very nice and feels really stable. And not like a boat before.
So why if these cars cost 25k wiht new couldn't they have afforded to throw on a 800 dollar pair of shocks on?

I don't have any experience driving newer Corvettes and my guess is our cars will never handle quite AS good. But you can get an F-body (I'm talking about a 4th gen F-body) to pull about the same amout of G's (I'm talking about 1.0g or a little higher) on a skidpad as a C6 Z06 Corvette or Viper will pull stock. Both the new Viper and Z06 both pull at least that on the skidpad. You just need to do the entire suspension on an F-body for it to pull 1.0 G's or more I've read a post about how this guy took his car for a skidpad test and pulled 1.02g one way and 1.04g the other way on the skidpad test. This was on a 99 Camaro with full suspension work.

GM's top of the line stuff, still isn't top of the line.... Only the 1LE that came with Koni DA's had really good shocks from GM. The Z06 shocks aren't horrible, actually not bad, but also not great. I know, we work on those too and the difference with a set of something else appropriate for the job is amazing, but not to the degree it is on the F-body. BTW, they are made by Sachs for GM to GM specs. That's how OEM's make shocks, they pay someone else to do it, but to their specs. So the old Z51 C4 with Bilsteins..... yes and no. Bilstein parts, GM valving and the problem lies in the valving.
Koni's strart @ $725 for a set of 4 FWIW. Not cheap, but then again, about the same as a set of decent tires which won't last you nearly as long.
