Somethings wrong with your brakes if you have done that to 2 sets of rotors. Were they properly bedded in? OEM are ceramic. I love my ceramic pads, virtually no dust, stops great.

The HP+ Hawks make loads of dust and can be noisy, but stop very well for street and short straightaway autocrosses. The HPS Hawks are cleaner and somewhat more silent (than the HP+s), while being good for street use. I don't know about the new Hawk street ceramics, anyone using them yet??
Just STAY AWAY from the sbs pads that Tire Rack used to sell, they dust more than a full race pad, will crack your eardrums and do not stop all that well despite all this!!

I ONLY did that to the rotors when I had ceramic pads on the car. At least Bendex pads from Advanced Dicscount.

Since my work sells solid Brembo rotors that I can get at a good price so I might get those (to get rid of my drilled/slotted) and try a set of Hawk cermics

I got the el-cheapo front rotors from NAPA about two years ago and their Ceramix pads. I warped them in about a month. And I'm being serious. I installed them in June, they were warped and wobbly by my birthday in July.
