Default Are there any benifits to having..

are there benifits to having a torque arm mounted to the cross brace at the body mount? I dont drag race.. i road race.. so i didnt know if there was an advantage to using it or a disadvantage

Crossbrace mounted arms were intended for drag racing. They will hurt you braking distances on the road course.

You can still get the torque arm off the transmission so long as the torque arm remains stock length. It wont affect your braking but it will prevent stressing the supposedly weak trans tailshaft. Also, your shifter wont move around so much. and IMO your transmission mount will last longer. But it comes at the cost of ride comfort.
