I have the 1LE 32mm FRONT, & was thinking of getting a the 1LE REAR Sway Bar. I see in the GM parts book it says next to the 1LE REAR part number "First Design". Then I see the F41 listed but no size is indicated. Anyone know if the F41 is also 21mm, & is it any better, or worse, than the 1LE rear sway bar?

Should I even change out the rear stock 19mm? I'm doing a lot of the higher speed twisty back road bonzai full out runs. I'm not doing much of the drag launchs or slow speed 90 degree "quick right, then quick left" type driving, but like to do more of the higher speed "road race" type driving. Sugestions APPRECIATED!

F41? If I'm not mistaken, F41 was an option on thirdgens (it was upgraded suspension on a base model), but I've not heard of them on the current generation, less I'm missing something. Regardless, I believe only the 1LE was 21mm.

Thanks Dope, you're prolly exactly correct. The info I am getting on this is from the GM patrs book on 1998's through 2002's. It distinguishes & has different part numbers for F41, 1LE (93-94) and also the "stock" Z28 sway bars that are designated FE2. Sway Bars for FE2 & F41 are listed for the 98-02 cars.

If anyone has the F41 option code on the code sticker that's located on the rear of the driver's door jamb, please see if you can tell if yor car has a BiGGer (larger diameter) REAR Sway Bar than the 19mm.

I don't know about the F41 bar, but the only fourthgen that got the 21mm rear bar was the '93 1LE. '94-'99 1LE's had the same 19mm rear bar as all V8 F-bodies.

That being said, shocks and tires will do a lot more for your handling than a rear sway bar will.
