Well if you want to go cheap as hell pick up a summit mag, they got some cheap rims in there...
my setup I got from there...
US wheel 97 series 15x7 with 26"x10.5"x15" et streets
The rims were 40 bucks a piece... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Need more info on your setup. A4/M6, mods, best time so far and level of grinding you're comfortable with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

OK what most of us do is grind the rear calipers down to run Weld Draglites or Pro Stars. Either 15x8 with 5.5 back-spacing or 15x10 with 7.5 BS. If you don't want to do ALOT of grinding you'll need some 5/16" spacers but I wasn't that comfortable running the spacers so I ground down my calipers enough for no spacers. I'd also suggest getting the longer wheel studs pn# 22551491 to be legal at the track. The next set of wheels that are most common are Centerline's but they only have 5" of BS so they're going to stick out a little bit but you won't need to grind your calipers. I don't know if you'll need spacers either, maybe someone else can jump in here.
As for tires, If you want ET Streets the closest to stock tire height would be 26x10.5-15 that are a touch under 26". The 26x11.5-15 are a little over 26". Both tires provide plenty of traction for most setups and are DOT legal. Full boots are the ET drags which the 26x8.5-15 are the same size as the 26x10.5 ET Streets and the 26x10's are the same as the 26x11.5 Streets but they provide the ultimate in traction. Some people are having success with Hoosier Slicks as well. If you want to run a 16" Bias ply tire you'll have to run ET Streets.
Now with all this traction the next weakest link is going to fail. Either your clutch, rear and tranny is going to need attention <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
I probably left some stuff out but this should be a start

Forget upgrading just the axles our whole rear end assmebly is a POS. You're gonna need to go with a 12 bolt or 9" for piece of mind
