Blown HAL Shock
The shock was purchases Sept 2001. It has about 12k on it.
Called QA1 on the problem and they will be rebuilding the shock under warranty. The process was very painless, and all I have to do is send the unit in. It will be about a 5 day turn-around. Good customer service.
The shocks in all other aspects have been great. This is the only problem that I have had with these units.
Has anybody else had one fail?
I got hooked up with the original HAL Lee, and he rebuilt it for $75 shipped.
It would not go firm whatsoever.
I sent Hal both of them, and he rebuilt one and went thru the other one.

I am pretty sure I know what took the shock out as well...
I would much rather pay 75 bucks to get the shock re-valved, then have to pay thrice as much to get a new shock, as would be the case with many other high performance shocks.
