was looking at my rotors yesterday and it looks like they are cracked a little <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> theres about 5K miles on them.
two little lines side by side and a few more elsewhere on the rotor. there are a couple spots where it looks like its cracked in a circular fasion (not lines) doest look like it goes all the way through though.

If you really want to see if the rotors are cracked or if it is just a surface impression, pick up a Dye Check Kit. Ask a machinist if you don't know what I am talking about.
It is typically and purpleish/blue dye that you apply to a metal surface to check for fractures or cracks.
Apply a small amount of the dye to the "crack". Let it sit for a bit. Then use the cleaning solution that comes with the kit and spray the supsected area. If your rotor is fractured there will be a dark colored line tracing the fracture. It is a quick and easy check if you are really concerned.

heres another picture: <img src="http://home.attbi.com/~d.belluomini/9.jpg" alt="" />
took a closer look yesterday- it does look like its a start to a crack. driving to work today i felt a little shutter. i made an appoitment for tomorrow to get them replaced under warrenty.
im going road racing sat/sun, last thing i need is for my brakes to crack open when i could have prevented it.
