Knicked caliper seal - rebuild?
I was replacing some shocks and brakes last weekend during a rain strom and ...kinda rushed a tad.
Anyway, while replacing the caliper, I pinched the outer seal against the new pads. The brake overheated and when I took it apart after testing I noticed the seal was pinched.
No brake fluid was leaking and I pumped the brakes 20 or 30 times before I took it apart again. Will this seal be OK or should I rebuild the caliper ASAP?

If the seal didnt tear you should be fine. I would have someone full compress the brake for min. and see if it leaks in addition to just pumping 20-30 times, also be sure to check after the car is shut down for a static leak.

You pinched a dust shield/boot. You really shouldn't see any leakage out of that, but you could collect dirt and moisture in there and wear the caliper out a little faster. Its not an emergency to fix it, you can drive around just fine on it, but I wouldn't leave it forever.
