Default Getting some powerslot rotors.... A couple questions!!

First of all are these rotors a direct replacement for the stock rotors right? I mean do you have to modify anything? Do I need any extra parts for them?

And can I use the stock gm pads with these rotors? I never autocross and I always go easy on my brakes.. I just don't want to deal with warping anymore! And I love the look of the powerslots.

Sorry about all the questions I know very little about brakes!

Thanks

No modifications or extra parts required so long as all the OEM equipment is working correctly. I have had rotor warpage with neither the OEM units nor the Powerslots - but others have.

If all you're doing is swapping the rotors, it's merely a cosmetic upgrade. OEM pads are compatible with them.

Plug and play.

No modifications needed. It should improve your braking in wet conditions. Plus you won't have to worry about your rotors warping.

I have 20k on my power-slots. I use hawk pads (little more aggressive than stock), and beat the hell out of my brakes. I have had zero problems.

The brake dust from my Hawk Plus pads tends to adhere to my aluminum wheels. A friend with the same brake setup has hardly any dust adhere to his OEM chrome wheels.

My wheels are noticeably a reddish-brown after 3-4 days of regular driving.

Do the Hawk pads make allot of dust? I mean do your rims need to be cleaned every 2 days?
I have a new set of Baer Eradispeeds and I want to put a better pad on that won't dust as much.

Thanks

I wore out my powerslots after 2 years. They had a lip on the outer edge. It made it hard to get the calipers off. Also with powerslots mine squealed all the time I just put some autozone blanks on and they work great and the price is right Just my $.02
