Default BFGs in the rain?

how are the BFG drag radials in the rain? i wanna get a pair for my beater caprice since i dont think the nittos will fit on the the rims.

also, how are they for daily driving other than a short life span?

Im running 315 drag radials on my SS.. They are awesome in daily driving.. they do in fact have a short life span.. Ive had mine on for 2k miles and they are almost past the tread, thats of course including a lot of burnouts, including the 25 foot patch in front my of house... Its my understanding that they are good well past whats left of the tread.. but i dunno...

As far as the rain.. just be very careful.. ive managed to spin em in 3rd on a wet road... Just some careful driving and you'll be fine...

the 315s are nittos, i have those on my TA for daily driving <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> i know the nittos are good in the rain (had a 16" set too), but i dont know how the bfgs are <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> they are going onto an open rearend caprice with the lt1 in it if it matters <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Roy, I think BFG DR's are terrible in rain.

After about 3000 miles my old 98SS M6 could no longer be driven faster than 55mph in rain.

I would not bother putting DR's on the Caprice if you don't have a posi.

If its a beater go with Nitto's.

Mine are bad in the wet...not as bad as my ET Streets(dangerous) but not a daily driver tire in the rain IMHO.

2.5yrs ago i 360'd numerous times across 3 lanes onto wet grass before the brush at the bottom of the ditch stopped me.
Never again will i drive BFG Drag Radials in the rain. Lucky i wasn't hit or hit another car or rolled on the wet grass, i did remember seeing headlights of the cars that were just right behind me.
This was 7am before the morning rush hour in heavy rain.

Nitto's spoiled me prior to switching to the BFG's.

Safe Driving.
