Re: First suspension mod? I too would like better handling with my car. It seems to roll a bit more than I would like on corners.
The car is a convertible. I've got a STB and Kenny Brown DD SFC's. The shocks and tires are original. Tires are 16" RSA's. Wheels are polished aluminum.
I'm thinking that I'll just get some Bilstein shocks. Lowering springs look like a lot of trouble and cost, and I'm not absolutely sure I would like the result.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: First suspension mod? While I never specifically said Springs/shocks, I did say "package" which should be included in any suspension upgrade.
As far as replacing shocks only because springs are a "lot of trouble", you will be pleasantly surprised to know that it's a real piece of cake, once you get the front shocks out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

The front shock/spring combo is a crude coil-over design. You have to remove the spring anyway.
