I can't say I'm knowledgable of this type of racing, but Trans Am has really gone downhill. The Trans Am racing from the late 60's rocks. The cars were much like you could buy off the showroom floor. Auto makers made cars to run in trans am like the 302 Z28 and the cudas.

Grand Am seems to be good racing. I watched some of it for the rolex 24 at daytona and it was entertaining. I'll have to make it a point to catch some races on the speed channel.

Anyone remember the racing series that was all corvette racing? This was during the C4 era. That was some of the best racing at the time. The cars appeared to be factory cars with a rollcage.
