How are Raybestos PG Plus Brakes?
I needed front brakes bad (grinding) so I called a few places listed on Raybestos's site and found a place that had Raybestos brake pads in stock for my car... I asked if they were Quietstop and he said yes... later found they're PG Plus...
I'm pissed that I spent 92 bux for brake pads I didn't want.. but I really needed them (changed them this morning, I have no brake material left on my front pads) plus I'm going autocrossing tomorrow so I need good brakes...
How are these PG Plus brakes in Dust? How are they in stopping?
THanks

Raybestos Quiet Stop pads are not the PG Plus pads, Quiet Stop pads are known as QS which are the ceramic pads, PG Plus pads aren't ceramic.

damn <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
THey're on the car now and have about 200 miles on them
I've noticed the squealing... but they don't seem to dust as bad as my ac delco durastops did
When I got them I really needed them.... my brakes had no brake material left.... plus i was planning on autocrossing the day after I installed them
guess that was a 92 dollar mistake <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: How are Raybestos PG Plus Brakes?
I have a 99' Z281LE. I put Raybestos BruteStop pads #BD749M or D749. I had to special order them, as they had never even heard of them. These don't make any noise, and they work much better than the stock 1LE pads. Raybestos also makes another line of pads. These are a step down, they use on squad cars, and ambulances. They are called SuperStop, and they are part # SSD 749. Most regular auto parts stores won't carry this stuff in stock so they will have to be special ordered. The pads I took off my 1LE only had 12k on them, and that was mileage on the car to. They are practically new. I just wanted something a little better.
