Have Some Problems (G2 Super Springs)

This past Saturday me and some friends installed the G2 super springs I ordered on my '99 Trans Am. I'm a broke college student so it's on stock shocks, which I think may be the problem. I'm just looking for the actual cause. Here is the problem.....
The front end makes noise quit a bit. It sounds like the front springs are going "boing" over bumps and ruts in the road but it's not exactly a "boing" sound though. It's a rough, harsh, and bad sound that sounds like the spring has too much play in it or that it's loose or something. My ride quality also isn't all that great which I know how alot to do with the shocks but it seems like the springs makes these sounds on moderate to hard bumps. I'm thinking it's the shocks but I'm wanting to check with someone who knows to make sure. If I get some SLP/Bilstein shocks to replace the stock ones will this problem go away? I've still got a few months ahead of me before I can afford shocks but I just want to know what's up with it now. Thanks for any help.

You don't say if you race your car that much, specifically on road courses or even autocrossing, but stock valved front shocks aren't optimum for such a high rate front spring. I'm told the G2 springs are a linear rate 650 lb/in spring. If that's correct, your cheapest, best alternative is to get some Bilstein shocks and get the fronts revalved. Sam Strano will do this for about $80 per shock (total of $160). I realize this may seem like a lot of money but if you're taking everything apart anyway it's the time to do it. The ride on the street won't be harsh and the responsiveness will certainly improve.

I'm about 99% sure the G2s are progressive rate springs, and I wish I had known about the revalving, but it's all back together now. I'm saving for SLP/Bilsteins, maybe even HALs in the front if possible, so I'll just fix that when I get the money. I'm just wanting to make sure these noises I'm hearing are because of the shocks. Or maybe do the springs have to "break in" at all? They've got to be fully seated, the car sits level from front to back and side to side and I've driven it almost 500 miles since I got the new springs on. Thanks for any confirmation on this.

I forgot to include it but linear rate springs look the same all the way down right, like the coils are all evenly spaced correct? Like the stock springs? And progressive rate springs have a certain amount of space at the top but near the bottom of the spring they wind VERY tight right? If I'm right in this then the G2s are progressive rate springs just so ya know. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
