Default Compressing spring

Ok I tried to do it with the hall hieght adjust nut but I need 2 more inchs just to compress it to stock hieght and nut wont barly move anymore. What can I use if I dont have a spring compressor?

If you are too cheap to buy some new ones from Autozone for only $40... they rent them for free!
