Default Swaybars...worth it?

With G2 springs, revalved bilstiens, on a Z28 thats mainly street driven, with occasional trips to the track, will I notice a difference? How do the 1LE swaybars compare to the G2 swaybars? Ive been reading good things abotu a 35mm front bar as well, but that seems like a little much. Lets hear some other opinions on this set up. Thanks

There was a post not too long ago on this site or the "other" site where Lou explained how his sway bars were made.

While they are close to the same OD of the 1LE's, the wall thickness is much thicker and made from a more rigid material yielding a different roll rate.

So, don't let those nay-sayers jump in here and say they are the same bar. They aren't. But, they can use the same bushing size. That's the reason for the sizing.

Yea, Ive heard alot of people say that the G2 bars are just powder coated 1LE bars. I think thats a load of crap. I just wanst sure if it was really worth the extra money to get the G2 bars. Im not looking for record breaking laps, Im not even going to be at the track every weekend, but hopefully atleast once a month. Ive been doing alot of searches on sway bars and doing alot of reading and I feel less comfident now then I did before. Im going to search for thoat post though. Thanks

I like my 35mm STs front bar, helped alot for me. BTW, I'm running the stock 19mm rear. Has a smidge of understeer on fast stuff{most likely due to my inexperience}. Was going to try a 21mm rear but have been playing with tire pressures and have pretty much got it about right for me.

I had the 35/21 combo for a while and it made my car turn in great, but it would begin pushing like crazy from apex out ... basically when you stood on the gas exiting a corner.

And tire temps and tire wear showed that I wasn't just feeling something that really wasn't there.

Went back to 1LE front and the push went away. Turn in isn't as crisp, but it's definitely workable.
