I bought mine already modified a few months ago. It's got the G2 springs, BMR sway bars, adjustable PHR, STB, SFC, but stock shocks (newer take-offs). It's fine for normal driving, but if you get into some bumps or waves in the road, it doesn't feel quite right, but hard to explain. It's almost like there is a delay, and then push up. Car feels solid, definitely better than stock, and seems to corner better, but it's not quite right. That's the best I can explain it.
Shocks are on my list (either Koni SA or revalved Bilsteins), but I just had some paint work done, so not yet.

I did it for a little while - not worth the hassle of intalling the fronts twice to replace the struts. Now I have QA1's - just adjust however you want
FWIW - I hated the lowered ride quality even with new shocks/struts

What people do and what people should do are two totally different things.
Not necessary, but a good damper none the less.

Pro Kit is nice, but hang on to your stock rear springs. You will be putting them back on once the rear starts to sag.
QA1's
As for replacing the struts and shocks it is not recommended, but is a good idea.
