Problem with Eradispeed rotors...
I put on a set of Bear Eradispeed front rotors and they are rubbing/catching on the brass clip that holds the outer brake pad on. There is one on top and one on bottom. What is wrong? How can I fix it?
Also my brake pads are dragging on the rotors?
Need help ASAP so I can make it to the shootout.

Re: Problem with Eradispeed rotors...
I've had the Eradispeeds for about a year w/no probs except the rears developed some surface rust on the hubs that I'll have to take care of. Are you sure the clips are installed correctly & did you disconnect the brake lines at all? I didn't.

All I did was comprsess the caliper pistons in so it would slide over the Bear rotor. I've done rotor/brake swaps on my car before, never a problem. Can the large bracket move independently from the caliper? That is the only way I see it could happen. The clips are in there right.

Re: Problem with Eradispeed rotors...
I've got this same problem with my EBC rotors. It
is just one of them on mine. Guess you could go
in and make sure everything is centered up with
the gap and the rotor surface.
I will say this, as it wears down, you notice it
less
As far a pads rubbing, did you pull out any brake
fluid when you push the calipers back in? You may
need to take out a little more.
Hammerhead: I also have some rust where the paint on the rotor
came off with the brake cleaner. I need to go in there again
and clean it up, paint it over with some high temp paint.
Been busy, so it will have to wait at least a little bit.
