Buying tires..help...Michelin Sport, Yokohama AVS Sport Or BFG G-Force KD ???
I am about to order a set of tires and looking for any experience you might have with the above three. The sizes I will be getting are:
275/40/17 Front
315/35/17 Rear
I am looking for a good all around street tire that will support a few trips to the drag strip a year (will hook up with 400 RWHP). Don't want to be swapping to rims w/drag radials when I go and want to have the ability to connect for the occasional street race. Would appreciate advice based on personal experience...

Nitto is not on the list... Why they are the best for what you are asking for. But not so good in the rain! And will save you big money compared to your list.

Nittos are not on the list because they are not available in the 555 in the 315 size and I do not want to run on drag radials.

I would think this list would come down to the price. I got a killer deal on AVS tires and never regretted it. Great wet/dry traction, little or no road noise/ excellent sidewall stiffness/ and great tire weat... I have heard many many good things about the KDs also. I have a set of KDWs on the stang, they hook good but are pretty noisy tires. IMHO the Michelins are a lil overpriced for what you get.

Found out the Kd's don't come in the 315 size so ordered the Yoko's. Heard some negative feedback from others on the Michelins. Thanks guys.
