Default convertible and sfc???

I have a convertible and I was wondering if they come with factory sfc....also are they good?...if not would it be good to swap em out for some aftermarket ones?....Reason was that I read somewhere that convertibles come with sfc...I really don't know...that's why I was asking....if so which ones do you reccomend...? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

By only going off what I remember in the past. No converts do not come with SFC's. They do have additional bracing that helps with chassis flex. I would recommend the Keth Black SFC's for the coverts.

Do you mean Kenny Brown ? As for verts comming with stock sfc's, I heard that also. If they did, its not good enough. Get some Kenny Brown Double Diamond SFC's. The difference is like night and day ! Thats what I have on my vert.

Verts do have factory SFC. They are formed sheet medal that are a part of the structure of the car. You can see them along the door sill. There is a hump along the sills that the non verts don't have. I have added the BMR weld in vert SFC and I can tell you that it made a difference on the car. It rides like my friends T-Top car.

The KBDD will allow you to weld to the pinch welds under both doors in addition to connecting the sub frames. They also have an attachment point on the rear LCA bolt and weld to the opposite side of that bracket, boxing it for added stregnth. Most extensive sfc for a vert.

Ive got the bmr tubulars SFC's on my mine, im pretty happy with them. They fit very well, and there much cheaper then the KBDD. I havent been in a car with the Kenny Brown SFC, so im not sure how much better they are.

How heavy are the KB and BMR SFC's? Will they still work on a vert with Hooker LT's?
