Default 3-Point strut tower brace?

Does anyone make a 3point strute brace, connecting one strut tower to the other and then to the cowl (windshield base)?

Edelbrock makes a really beefy one (I bought one the week I picked up my 2002 Z-28, but I couldn't get the windshield wipers off to get in installed). It is a serious duty piece that runs across the strut towers and ties to the firewall (some 3 point just run from strut tower to the firewall and not straight across). I gave up on getting the wipers loose and did a BMR 2 point and still saw an amazing difference in chassis stiffness (and installation and removal takes about 2 minutes). My other concern is that the firewall on the 4th gens seems a little "thin" and I was afraid of cracking the windshield or firewall. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

The KB 3pt. STB is a well engineered piece. You remove the cowl cover and there is an overlap point of the sheet metal that forms the bottom of the windshield. The KB is asymmetrical so that it attaches laterally to this point by drilling a 1/2 hole thru both the cowl and the STB.Once bolted all the flexing forces are leaveraged optimally.Because we don't have struts, the shock towers are pretty strong side to side. It's front to back that 4th gens need stiffening.

FWIW, my 2 pt. Hotchkis STB is a pain in the *** to remove. However, I can feel the difference even with my stock suspension. I'd go with a BMR STB if I were to buy another one.

I have a KB 3pt and was happy with it until I started doing stuff to the engine. It works awesome but its a bit of a chore to put on/take off. I was selling mine for $40 in the Eastern forum but no one bit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Go with the BMR 2pt. brace. It doesn't require any unnecessary drilling (like a 3pt.), and it is much easier to remove at a later date for repairs or modifications. I noticed a big difference in handling after installing the BMR.
