loosing gear by using17" dr's

loosing gear by using17" dr's i picked up 2 fat spoke c-5 17x8.5 with 275/40 bfg drag radials i have a 98 z-28 with stock 16's my question is what is the downfall of running these will i loose gear should i run 17's up front and would hpp3 fix this problem thanx in advance

Re: loosing gear by using17" dr's I wouldnt think it would make a difference considering a 245/50 16 and a 275/40 17 should have the same overall diameter.(sp?)
