Default Need help quick: removing the e-brake system

I need some info on how to remove the emergency brake from the rear brakes. If anyone has any insight into this, please help me out.

Actually, I'm doing this for weight reasons. I have no use for it and it is supposed to weigh somewhere near 10-15 lbs with all the cables. I know most of you autocross guys can't understand removing stuff for drag racing, but it's free and I'm running out of ideas. How much of a hassle is it to remove from the rear brakes? Does it involve disassembling anything? Thanks a lot.

I understand...weight=speed (so does going on a diet....I need to drop lbs from the driver....lol). I would just unhook the cables on the rear end and pull them loos under the car and pull out the center console and disconnect the cable and unbolt and remove the handle. I don't know if you'll see 15 lbs, but if you take 1/2 ounce out of the car in 200 different places....it becomes pounds.....remember "simplify and add lightness". Good luck.
