Default Yet one more question on cuttin springs.

i have 285s on 18s and have hardcore 4x4 look going on. how much clearance do i need for funcutional driving on the street? moreover how far can i safely drop it, and in the gap in the tire and bottom of the fender? thanks.
p.s. not sure weather im gonna buy springs or just cut em.

I think at most you only want to drop your car 1". 1.5" at the absolute max. Your tire/wheel combo shouldn't give you any problems.

BTW, I dropped my SS by installing the SLP Eibachs. The rear drop was perfect, but the fronts I did cut off half a loop too get just a bit more drop. I did not like the typical look of the SLP Eibach setup with the droopy rear end.

I also am running 18" wheels. 275 front tires and 295 rear tires. Pics in sig.
