Re: Wheel widening http://www.winnipegwheelworks.ca/services.html (u gotta call for pricing) that is one of the companies that i have heard of that widens wheels, but i have never seen their work. at the bigger swapmeets(carlisle and englishtown) i go to, i usually see wheel companies that do wheel widening. i forgot teh company i see every year at english town...wheel works, or something, but i dont remember. if you do a search on yahoo, u can find a couple of companies, but make sure u have a reputable company do it otherwise they could ruin your rim. also, when they widen rims, they widen it to the inside...would a vette have enough room on the inside to make it 2.5" wider <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> ...just a thought.and be for-warned...it could get pricey, especially with aluminum or magnesium <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> rims i think.

Re: Wheel widening Two people have suggested that Vaughn guy: Call 626-358-6413 for alloy wheel widening. Is what one guy said on another board. I guess I should call him and see.
As for the magnesiums, it might not be bad. Chances are they aren't through and through solid magnesium. Probably on magnesium centers/spokes.

Wheel widening I have two sets of OEM wheels for my C5 Corvette. One set is the original alloy 97-99 style wheels. 17x8.5 up front, 18x9.5 out back.
The other set are the ones I REALLY want to widen. Its the upgrade wheel package for the C5 .. bronze-colored, magensium wheels .. 17x8.5 up front, 18x9.5 out back just like the stockers.
I'd like to get these magnesium wheels widened to 18x12 out back.
