Floaty Front End At High Speed?

Floaty Front End At High Speed? I have stock SS suspension on my 02.....at speeds between 120 and 140MPH my front end likes to float? Is this caused from my crappy factory shocks??
Re: Floaty Front End At High Speed? I dont think so......the shocks affect cornering, not the "floating" you feel......My 98 SS felt the same way(all stock susp.) but my 00 SS has all upgraded suspension(pro-kit,lca,phr,sfc,stb,ta, ect.) and is VERY stable.....even with the speedo buried!!!!
I think what happens is just the amount of air going uder the car at speed "picks-up" on the front of the car and gives the "floaty" feeling you describe.

It's combo of air rushing up under the vehicle and high pressure building up in the engine bay, lowering the car helps this dramatically as it keeps air from getting under the car as easily and as a result keeps it from getting up in the engine bay and building up high pressure.
Two cures for this are an opening at the back of the hood to allow the pressure to escape and the other is the aforementioned lowering of the car, if you go even faster there is more to deal with, but not too much more.
